PROOFREADING SERVICES FOR AUTHORS AND PUBLISHERS
You have poured your blood, sweat and tears into your novel/short stories and because you are so attached to it you may not be able to see the errors that are glaringly obvious to the reader.
I have heard many authors claim their characters and story became so real it was like living the story they were writing. Whether you decide to use the services of a copy-editor and a proofreader, or just a proofreader, I can help.
I will check the manuscript for all errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, layout, format and inconsistencies in the story or characters and that it flows well for readability. This is all done whilst being very careful not to suggest changes, which may affect your manuscript’s style and voice.
I will always follow your brief, but if you don’t have one I can compile a style sheet for you after I have initially checked your novel to see if there is anything I need to address with you before I commence editing, such as using ise or ize spellings.
I will follow whatever brief I am given, ensuring I correct all errors and inconsistencies in format, layout and content whilst causing minimal effect on the layout of the text to reduce the overall cost of changes before publication.
If you feel you don’t fall into any of these categories and are unsure of the service I can provide you, please don’t hesitate to send me a quick email: email@example.com or text on 07762965690. I will contact you at a time which suits you to discuss how I can assist you with your project. I don’t believe that ‘one size fits all’.
